This review is for the guys who spend their weekends doing Jacques Cousteau types of things or hanging out with Navy SEALs. The first thing that makes this watch special is that it’s water resistant to a depth of 500 meters. Think about that for a minute, 100 meters is larger than a football field. Now multiply that amount by five. Not only are you going to be okay at the bottom of any pool in the world, you’re also good to go snorkeling a whole lot deeper than you’ll be able to swim, before you have to go back up for air.

And if you’re idea of fun is escaping from submarines or undersea secret lairs, then you’ll need a sturdy watch. Both the case and the band of the Dive Master 500M Watch are made from Titanium. And as you probably know, Titanium is the strongest and lightest natural metal known to all of mankind. Titanium is also incredibly resistant to corrosion. Salt water will eventually have it’s way with other metals so the choice of Titanium was a good one.

The Dive Master 500M Watch that I’m reviewing is model number 241262 and they run in the $700-$1,000 range (USD). There is also a much fancier more expensive Dive Master called the Swiss Army Victorinox Dive Master 500 SAV241175 – 2. It’s a limited edition watch that they only made 900 of and it costs well over a thousand dollars.

Whether you’re doing black ops for the Navy or just taking the kids to the water park, the Swiss Army Dive Master 500M Watch meet all of your expectations. Even the little details like the anti-reflective coating so that you can see what time it is on the black dial to the smooth action on the bevel proves that Swiss Army did it’s homework when creating this fine men’s watch.
