Citizen Eco-Drive Skyhawk Titanium

During the past 25 years, the Citizen Watch Company has been recognized as the world’s largest watchmaker. And when you walk around with a Citizen Eco-Drive Men’s Skyhawk A-T Titanium Watch watch strapped to your wrist, you’ll feel large and charge too.

Citizen makes several Skyhawk watches but the one that I’m reviewing today is model number JY0010-50E. Since it’s made from titanium it’s much lighter than it’s stainless steel counterparts. This solar atomic chronograph has an lengthy feature list that’s sure to impress even the most avid watch aficionado.

  • Citizen Eco-Drive movement, never needs a battery
  • Mineral Crystal
  • Titanium Case
  • Perpetual-Calendar with World Time
  • Water-Resistant to 200 Meters
  • Atomic Timekeeping with Radio Accuracy

If you aren’t familiar with Citizen Eco-Drive watches, this is how these cool solar powered watches work. Light from either the sun or indoor sources is absorbed through the crystal and the dial and converted to energy that’s stored in the battery. You’ll never have to wind your watch or buy a new battery again.

Eco-Drive really is a no brainer. Don’t worry about leaving your watch in a dark drawer or closet. Even in darkness it’ll still run for up to 5 years when fully charged. Charging your watch is not at all like worrying about charging your cell phone. You really never have to think about charging your Citizen Titanium Skyhawk watch. It just happens on it’s own.

The Skyhawk models have been around for a while with this being the third generation. And they now come with atomic timekeeping. The watch receives a radio signal from one of the many atomic clock stations around the world and adjusts itself to the correct atomic time. The signal is received both automatically or on-demand. Not only will you never have to wind or change the batteries on this watch but you’ll never have to set it again either.

And the styling of this watch is top notch. At a MSRP of $850, the Citizen Skyhawk Titanium Watch is a great value.
