So you’ve probably heard of the fantastic metal know as Titanium and all of it’s great properties.  But you’re probably asking yourself, “What is Titanium used for anyway?”.  Well since this website is called Titanium Watch Reviews, I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that you are aware that it’s used in watches.  But you will probably be amazed at all the other things that Titanium is used for.

Titanium has the highest strength to weight ratio out of all the know metals.  It’s also resistant to corrosion.  These two properties make it very useful in many different applications.

What is Titanium?

The way Titanium jewelry has suddenly become popular you’d think that some crazy explorer just discovered it at the bottom of the ocean or in outer space or something. Even though it has recently become all the rage in the world of jewelry, Titanium has been around for a very long time.

On the periodic table of the elements that you probably haven’t seen since high school, Titanium is denoted with the symbol Ti.  It also has an atomic weight of 22.  So what does that mean to someone who wants to buy a watch?  Actually it doesn’t tell you a whole lot.  But if you want to know what is Titanium, then read on.
